Our TCS building is closed… but learning is still on! We have arranged for remote “Zoom” learning sessions until we determine that it is safe for us to be together in person again. While our learning is going on-line, there is nothing “virtual” about it. Expect fun and engaging lessons. Interesting guest speakers and activities. Friendship, community, and learning and growing together! We thank you for your patience and flexibility as we all navigate the changing dynamics of the current environment.
“Zoom” is a video conferencing software on the internet. If you have never used Zoom before, do not worry! It is as easy as clicking on the link provided and entering the meeting code provided. All you need is a device such as a computer, tablet or smart phone with a front facing video camera, and an internet connection.
If you have trouble connecting or you do not have such a device available, please email Jeri so she can provide you with a regular phone link to join in with just audio. It would be helpful for an adult to be around and available to help your child connect to the meeting.
We hope that this is a good way for us to remain connected and educated during this period of social distancing which aims at keeping us and our loved ones healthy. During the opening activity of SULAM or Gesher, students will be assigned to a breakout room by class. After the opening, they will have a Judaic lesson and a Hebrew lesson. On Sundays, we will then have Z’man K’hillah / Community Time to end our morning together. Students will need their binders for Hebrew and writing tools for Judaic lessons, so that they can fully participate. TCS will be providing you with specific project supplies periodically, with drive-up pick-up times.
