Intermarried? Reform Judaism Welcomes You…

Yours, mine, ours: Every couple begins with two individuals from different backgrounds. Interfaith couples and their families also face the special challenges posed by different religious traditions and sometimes cultures. We understand that interfaith issues impact entire families.

Temple Chayai Shalom welcomes all interfaith families to find a spiritual connection in our community. The most important thing to remember is that you are not alone. We are here to serve as a resource for you and a place to meet other interfaith families.

Our Mission: The TCS interfaith group’s mission is to provide a safe place to discuss issues that arise in interfaith families, while at the same time forming substantive friendship with others. We have monthly (approximately) meetings, sometimes with guest speakers, who help to educate the group on whatever topics are most interesting or challenging at the time. Our topics of discussion can include religious/spiritual issues, supporting family members when dealing with interfaith conflicts, and providing practical ideas for members to utilize within their own families. This group prides itself on lively, inclusive, non-judgmental discussions that are protected by the private confines of the group. We welcome you to join us, and you do not need to be a temple member to come!
