TeCSY
The TeCSY (Temple Chayai Shalom Youth) program includes social & recreational activities, community service & social action programs, and religious & cultural & educational programming. TeCSY, affiliated with NFTY, is an outstanding program of leadership development. Over the years, TCS has been represented on the regional board of NFTY as officers and institute chairpeople.
TeCSY is open to Jewish youth in 8th-12th grade. TCS teens participate in a High Holy Day Food Drive, Chanukah party, volunteering at the Purim Carnival, and other social events.
Teens also have the option to attend L’Taken, a URJ conference run by the Religious Action Conference in D.C. During the Conference teens participate in leadership training, education on social reforms, and culminate with an experience lobbying in front of congressional leaders. Teens gather from across the nation to make their voices heard in D.C. Support for this transformative program is offered to teens through the Levenson Krumins Youth Scholarship Fund.
