Fall Workshop Series: Navigating the News, Truth vs. Fiction in the media

Presenter: Mark Grossman. Mark is an experienced professional in the Non-Profit management and media relations fields. During his tenure with the Jewish National Fund he experienced first hand the challenges of Israel’s image in the media. In this workshop, Mark will discuss the term “Fake News” and will help us navigate various news media to determine reliable sources that present accurate information. Mark will also examine the image of Israel in the media and help separate truth from fiction about Israel news.
Students who attend the ‘Holocaust’ and ‘Homelessness’ courses are not required to pay for the workshop; all other students pay $36 for the series. Adults are welcome to attend these workshops for a fee of $8 per workshop.
